Finished!
I finished Angel Sanctuary late last night.
I'm really glad that I was right in that Rosiel and Katan ended up happily together. It was so touching when Rosiel asked "Can I go...to where Katan is...?" and then talks about his plans of holding him and being with the one he loved. I'm a sucker for that kind of stuff. The worst thing possible for characters in love is for one to live while the other dies. If they're both dead, they can both meet up in the afterlife and be happy together but if one lives than they're going to be apart until he dies.
I really feel for Rosiel though; his whole life was just crappy. The way he was when he was born, only getting his body because of Alexiel, thinking Alexiel hated him, being locked away when he wanted to die to stop from becoming mad, tricked into killing Katan so that when he realized what he had done he would destroy the world, etc. He needs a hug.
Although they weren't my favourite couple in the series (Rosiel/Katan is still my OTP), Lucifer/Alexiel is probably my favourite het couple that I've ever had in an anime or manga. I don't often like het couples in manga/anime (CLAMP is good with het but only Sorata/Arashi is in my favourites of their stuff) because I find most of the time the female can't do a thing without her boyfriend around; she's always "WHAAAA! SAVE ME MY LOVE!!! *SOB*" and it drives me insane. Alexiel however is such a strong female character who can take care of things herself without Lucifer saving her all the time.
And since I still love Raphael, I'm going to mention the Raphael/Barbiel pairing. I really didn't mind that he ended up with her because she did seem really cool, especially when she broke free from being captured. But I would have liked to have seen more of her. You first see her when Raphael gets introduced and then she doesn't show up again until you find out she's been captured. Although I read those scenes only a day apart I couldn't remember who she was at first; there just really needed to be more of her to really get behind the pairing. I still think that Raphael/Sara would have made a good pairing though. Around Raphael, Sara was pretty cool but with Setsuna she falls into the 'typical girl in het pair' that I mentioned earlier.
As for Setsuna/Sara I'm not going to mention anything more on it. I still don't like it and probably won't ever like it. However it tells you how good a series is though when you dislike the main character and main pairing yet overall you still love the story.

3. Raphael

5. Alexiel
