LJ is making me ill.

It starts here when someone posts about how they tried reporting a pro-anorexia comm because it doesn't take a genius to to realize that girls giving tips to other girls on how to starve themselves is a very bad thing.

LJ's reply to that person is: "Suspending pro-anorexia communities will not make anyone suffering from the disorder become healthy again". Despite the fact their own TOS says it's illgeal to Promote or provide instructional information about illegal activities, promote physical harm or injury against any governmental entity, group or individual, or promote any act of cruelty to animals...

Yeah, last time I checked starving yourself to death was a form of physical harm against yourself.

But it gets better.

Earlier tonight LJ finally starts replying to the questions they've been getting over the past 5 days and someone asks about their pro-anorexia stance and LJ staff member coffeechica replies claiming that a pro-anorexia comm is a "support group". Bullshit. LJ's staff apparently doesn't even know what the word pro means.

When people point out they give tips on how girls can loose weight by not eating (yeah, really good "support group" there), coffeechica returns with "But it's not illegal to aspire to be thin... LiveJournal does not support girls harming themselves."

That's the most massive fail I have ever seen in my life!

Yeah, great point of view that is "lets not care about girls starving themselves because it's not illegal!". And the stuff about LJ not supporting girls harming themselves is a big fat lie since if they didn't support it the pro-anorexia comm would be deleted!

Basically it boils down to LJ cares more about fictional children than they do real people.

OMG, this is getting worse and worse. Of course REAL paedophilia is a terrible thing but there seems to be a growing tendency in the world to use that fact for complete irrationality and in this case, hypocrisy. Fail indeed.

Oh, in case if I get banned from LJ. (Since I have more than 30 smut fanarts put in my art account.) I'll move to GJ *eying TOS* or maybe IJ but IJ orange scares shit of me -_-'

But still, I have to find another mod for ygo_rambles so if I get banned, the comm can be continue.

I have to wonder about their priorities. If they're going after things that are "illegal" then why are all the download communities still up and running? Last time I checked piracy was illegal.

D: I heard about that as well and it pissed me off. You know, I get that LJ is a private company and they don't have to host things that they don't like. But if they don't like porn, why can't they just come out and say "We don't like porn" instead of bullshitting around. Everyone knows that pro-ana/mia comms are nasty business, and there's no point in LJ lying.
