TRC - How can I be depressed and excited at the same time!?

I've recently come to the conclusion that I'm getting tired of the TRC fandom. It's just getting too damn crazy; I miss the days when KuroFay fans were sane, when we'd spend hours fangirling over the crossover characters, when bashing didn't happen (well, FayChii fans bashed Hideki but I'm not sure if he counts since he's not in TRC yet), etc.

Right now it's much more fun simply talking about the series with people on my flist (lurkers out there, now's the time to friend me), since I can avoid the actual fandom and it's craziness.

Most fans are currently predicting that Nihon will be the next world. I disagree but I dread what will happen when they actually go there. I can just see it now, the KuroFay fans bashing Tomoyo because she's close to Kurogane and the KuroTomo fans' hyperactive squees over how their ship is "canon" and about how much Kurogane and Tomoyo are "in love". Ugh.

Moving on to happier TRC talk (since I still do love the series even though the fandom is driving me insane)...

Last night I mentioned on TC.net why I thought next could return to the sexy foursome subplot. And came up with the following reasons:

1) It's been over a year now since the last time we visited that that subplot, which means enough time has passed so no one can complain "aww... did we just see these guys!" and yet it's still pretty fresh in everyone's mind.

2) Storyline wise a few worlds have passed now since Acid Tokyo, which means enough time in the plot has passed so it doesn't seem like we're getting it back-to-back.

3) CLAMP is going to want to finish that subplot before they start moving towards the end of the story which is probably soon. Besides the subplot, the most important parts of the story left are dealing with clone, finding out Syaoran's past, finding out Syaoran's relationship with Watanuki and stopping FWR. Finishing the subplot first makes the most sense since all those other ones are related to Syaoran.

4) It'll give the group time to rest since Seishirou and Kamui can battle it out over Subaru.

And today I thought of a 5th reason why the subplot could return soon if not next.

Currently we're on Vol 21 of the series. The OVAs get released with Vol 21, 22 and 23. Now besides the main group (who don't count since they're always around), who stars in the OVAs? That's right Kamui, Subaru and Fuuma! Therefore it makes sense that at some point during vols 21-23 we'll get the return/conclusion of that subplot.

Yeah I backed away from the TRC fandom as soon as I saw people bitching because Sakura and Fye have a strong bond. wtf fandom wtf. They're family not romantic at all.

I really hope we get more of the hunter/vampire subplot soon. Right now would be good because we have r!Syaoran and Seishirou is bound to see the difference and much fun could be had with that.

4) It'll give the group time to rest since Seishirou and Kamui can battle it out over Subaru.
PLZ CLAMP. I WANT. Kamui would bitch and attack and Seishirou would smile darkly and tease him and Subaru would wibble because his twin a boyfriend can't get along. Or d33p angst that will make me cry. I AM UP FOR EITHER.

I feel lucky sometimes that I don't have time for Clamp/Tsubasa forums. My entire Clamp fan experience exists on lj, i.e. people I already trust, so I get none of this shit that gives the rest of you headaches.

I remember years ago though, when I first got into Cardcaptors (yes, CARDCAPTORS). The forums were a nightmare. They were full of 14 year olds who made every discussion into an anti-abortion debate! And I really don't know how that can have anything to do with CCS. And they all rabidly denied Tomoyo/Sakura and Toya/Yukito too. Ugh, the bad old days.

The TRC fandom is run over with stupid.

I really don't understand why so many people think Nihon will be next. It doesn't make sense to me both logically and story-wise. Nihon is rather like feudal Japan, I'd imagine the best way they'd have to fix Kurogane's wound would be to cauterize it...which isn't pretty. They need another transition world first.

I agree that the subplot is probably going to come back up, that splash page wasn't thrown in there for no reason. There's so many lose ends to be tied up still. o_o

I banged my head a bit when one poster thought they'd have to go back to Tokyo for a continuation of the X!subplot, way to go for not noticing they can dimension hop. D:

Hmm. Poor TRC fandom, you have exploded. I blame the Tsubasa anime and especially the shiny new Funimation release. /sneer. The old, sane, CLAMP fans I think have been turned off to the poor forum because of these people. Things would be so much easier, especially with the Syaoran debate, if we could finally get some really solid evidence against their crack theories. Frankly, I want Nihon to be soon, because that is where it will likely be "proven" that Kurogane and Tomoyo have no romantic feelings for each other, though their bonds are strong. Luckily, we had the "Chii is modeled after Fai's mother" thing to kill THAT pairing to an extent. D<

Well, I'm hoping they'll end up someplace new. The sexy foursome subplot needs to be resolved. ): Even if CLAMP brain farts and for some reason does send them to Nihon... there will at least be a downtime. At least, that's how I feel. Methinks it would be too convenient if they went to Celes and then, by some incredible mishap of chance, they end up in Nihon, another "home" world.

Well, I think it's pretty clear that CLAMP wanted us to writhe over this, what with the break next week. >: I guess we'll just have to wait and see.

I miss having a stronger semblance of sanity in TRC fandom. Everything pretty much went to hell sometime during the Infinity arc, as far as I can tell.

3) is a good point in favor of the foursome showing up again soon, I think. CLAMP need to be tying up their loose ends as they're nearing the end of the story, and they can't leave that subplot unconcluded, since Seishirou still has the feather as far as we know.

What makes people think Nihon's going to come next? Because of the curse mark bit? Personally I don't expect them to go to Nihon until the very end, since it doesn't really have a conflict to be resolved other than whether Kurogane will end up staying there. And dealing with that just after Celes is way too much.
