I feel ripped off.

I started reading a manga because I heard the love interest in it is named 'Ryou' and since that's a boy's name I figured AH HA! BL STORY! Alas no, because this 'Ryou' is a girl.

I kinda feel bitter now. I love yaoi but I also like cute, plot-driven stories between two guys and it's hard finding stuff that is new (hell finding yaoi with plot is hard enough). I finally think I find something and it turns out not to be the case. :\

Right now I read a manga by Naked Ape, Dolls, its not BL, but guess what, it has some boyxboy element in there. it's amuse me in a good way^__^

Well, I know you don't like shoujo but that one is another good manga. (And include with a bit of incest :P)

Any good ones with plots are hard to find since they end up getting licensed so the scanlators drop them but then it takes about 3 years for the English company to start releasing it and even then you have to order it online because they don't get stalked in stores. But in secret someone will continue with scanlations releasing one chapter every six months.

Yeah, not a great process.

Yeah, it was Otomen. I might read it eventually now that I know what to expect but I'm not in the mood for it right now.

I heard about Dolls before and thought it looked interesting. I should give it a try.

It's not that I hate shoujo, I just end up getting bored quicker with them so it's harder finding shoujo that I like.

I think it's a problem that the most intensively loved OTPs always seem to have an element of "will they/won't they", whereas if it's a yaoi then well - they will! Of course there's still the element of will they or won't they have a happy ending or not, but usually that's pretty predictable in yaoi as well, either it's going to end up fluffy or nasty.

Of course some plotty ones do exist...
