Writer's Block: Gamer's Choice

Atari - It was this Spiderman game where basically all you did was climb a building, while avoiding things that people would drop from windows and at the top of the building was the Green Goblin. It was so much fun to climb to the top and then have Spiderman "fall" off.
NES - Maniac Mansion. Soooooo much fun. And it was the first game I ever played with various endings (I like the ending where you can make the meteor famous and get him on a late-night talk show). It was just so much fun sneaking around the mansion and trying not to get caught. It needs to be released for Wii's Virtual Console.
SNES - Final Fantasy VI. My introduction to the Final Fantasy series and I still think it's the best one. My favourite parts of the game is early on when the game breaks off into three paths (Locke's, Terra's/Edgar's and Sabin's) and when you have re-recruit everyone in the World of Ruin (I especially love how Strago goes and joins the Cult of Kefka). And Kefka? BEST. VILLAIN. EVER.
I considered picking a PS1 game as well since there's a huge difference between it and PS3 but I didn't consider it quite old-school enough. Plus I wouldn't know what game to pick since there was so many good ones. Hell the best thing about the PS3 is the fact that you can stick your PS1 games in it and then play them through the PSP (which is really useful since you can play your PSP anywhere in the house and not have to worry about your old PS1 memory cards).
