Kobato

Kohaku!!!

And he mentions Shuuichirou!

Plus he was looking completely adorable in those clothes! They suit him much better than the clothes he wears in Wish!

I figured Kohaku would be making an appearance at some point but I didn't think it would be this soon. I guess CLAMP wanted it to happen his appearance in the anime (which seems to be moving along 100x faster than the manga and will split into it's own canon soon).

I'm really tempted to switch one of my [livejournal.com profile] yuletide nominations to Wish now. Although I'd probably just be frustrated if I tried to write it for a stranger because I use male pronouns for all the angels since it's easier that way than going "okay, that angel looks slightly more feminine so it'll be a 'she', while that one has a more masculine look...". But I know that not everyone does things that way and I don't want to spoil someone's story.

As for the rest of the chapter, I thought it was pretty adorable between Kobato and that woman (even if it was sad). I like how this is such a simple and cute manga. It's a nice change of pace from the 'normal'. It's been a long time since some Kobato/Fujimoto action though. I'm hoping for some in the next chapter (and more Kohaku). A 14-page chapter per month doesn't seem fair, especially when TRC was like 20-pages per week.

I use "he" for Kohaku too. D: He looks especially boyish in the new Kobato anime, to me at least. But for his teacher, I could go both ways.

Why does English not have an appropriate genderless pronoun? Almost every single language does except this one.

I wish there was a genderless pronoun. I recently read a book which also had a genderless angel and 'it' was used as the pronoun, that just sounded so wrong to me.
