Hey, does anyone know if 'Yami no Matsuei' is a real shoneni-ai/yaoi story or just one where all the fans just like slashing Tsuzuki and Hisoka together?

I mean I still like it but I'm at the start of the 3rd volume and there's been nothing yet to indicate that they are attracted to each other let alone are canonly together.

In volumn 4 you'll get a few scenes where you can easily read in a budding relationship (Hisoka complaining that he's stuck in a 16 year old's body and wishes he could catch up to Tsuzuki.) It stays more shoneni-ai between them (lol-at least visually- mostly just hugs) but there are a lot of scenes throughout the series that makes it real easy to slash them!

Have you met the Count yet? he(it?) leches after Tsuzuki constantly, yet I get the feeling in the most recent volumes (9 & 10) that its more in the vein of 'teasing by uncle-figure because Tsuzuki is so cute when he's flustered'. But you were asking about Hisoka.... I think it's more of a brotherly affection between them thus far.... Muraki, on the other hand!

I've only gotten thru vol. #10 of the English translation; as to what happens later on, I'll keep you posted.

The Count is hilarious the way he's always after Tsuzuki, lol. Definitely agree with you that Muraki is after Tsuzuki. ^^

Ah okay. I was getting confused because I had seen it listed before on yaoi/Shounen-ai lists but hadn't seen anything in the first two volumes. And then I got to the cruise ship part where Muraki is all over Tsuzuki, lol.
