Angel Sanctuary again

Maybe it's just me... but Setsuna is really annoying.

I liked him in Alexiel's body since that was funny (and Alexiel is hot), but now that he's back in his own body...

Raphael is fun though, he quickly became one of my favourite characters in the series. I love his interaction with Michael; those two are hilarious together.

Woe, I can't remember the last time Rosiel was around. He's my favourite character and the main villain for the first part of the series but he's been missing ever since Katan returned to his real form.

And I really don't get the Setsuna/Sara pairing. Setsuna is the reincarnation of Alexiel and Sara is the reincarnation of Gabriel but I have yet to see anything that indicates that they were in love prior to becoming Setsuna and Sara. It makes no sense to me since they both should have fallen in love with the person they loved in their past lives.

It happened before this, actually. Took me a while to get it, but in Alexiel's reincarnation prior to Setsuna she was in love with another man. Nanatsusaya (Sakuya) didn't possess him until after he had been killed. She of course didn't recognize who he was until she was about to die and seemed to forget about the poor boy he possessed. Guess Setsuna is the exception. Setsuna and Sara are blindly in love, although Sara is at least more thoughtful about her actions (well, later on she is).

Setsuna is...beyond annoying. For a lead male role, he the worst out of all of Kaori Yuki's series imo. She went from Cain....to Setsuna? o_O Boggles the mind.

Rosiel sadly is missing for a good chunk of the series, doesn't really have a good part again until around volume 14 I think. :\

Oh yeah, I forgot about that but yeah once she remembered Nanatsusaya she seemed to forget about the other guy. I guess I'm so use to CLAMP and their soul mates thing that having a character so deeply in love with different people is jarring.

About Setsuna - Exactly! All her other male leads are so cool and then there's Setsuna. If I didn't know better I would swear Angel Sanctuary was written by someone else.

I just started vol 12. I was so happy when I saw his appearance at the beginning of that chapter. XD

Alexiel and Lucifer and soul mates for sure, but her reincarnations are not. The more you read the more you'll see how. ^^

Angel Sanctuary is definitely the odd series out of her works. : \

No, Setsuna IS really annoying. I would like Angel Sanctuary so much more if he were not the main character.

I've skipped around for the bits with Rosiel (and Katan when possible) in them because I'm lame like that (I did the same thing with X, mind...). There are still volumes I haven't read because of that. I like Michael and Raphael (I'd honestly prefer having Raphael and Sara as a couple - they were more interesting together than the Sara/Setsuna and what have you).

Raphael and Sara would have been adorable together. When she was with Setsuna all the time, I was glad she died but I started to like her once she met Raphael.

I like Sara a lot more when she's not with/going on about Setsuna. She's got more life to her then.
