POTC 3
POTC fans are annoying me (and I'm not even in the fandom!)
See, in the original script Will was only suppose to be captian of the Flying Dutchman for 10 years and if Elizabeth still returned his love after those ten years he'd be free. But anyone who has seen the movie can tell you that is not what happened in the final cut of the film. In the final version, Will is stuck with his job until someone replaces him (by stabbing his heart).
Will/Elizabeth fans however are insisting that plot device is still in the film and it should have been edited better for that point to come across.
Umm... no. The ending is great how it is, having their relationship end in a semi-tragic way. Plus it would cheapen what he did if he could easily be freed (besides, lets not go into the plot holes that are created if Will is freed after 10 years).
It's really getting tiresome trying to explain to these people that just because something happened in the script doesn't mean the final cut of the film is going to end up that way. Look at the LotR movies, in it they had Arwen fighting at Helms Deep and Aragorn battling Sauron; both of these scenes were actually filmed but neither happen in the final cut of the movie.
