Every so often on fandomsecrets a secret gets posted basically telling yaoi fans to "fuck off". The latest of these types of secrets not only says that but also says that 'het pairings are about love while yaoi pairings are not'.

And that really pisses me off.

I know there's a lot of porn when it comes to male/male pairings. I read it, I write it. I'm not going to lie and try to deny that it doesn't exist.

But het pairings also have plenty of porn.

It doesn't make sense that (for example) Syaoran/Sakura porn is considered 'love' while Touya/Yukito is not. And fans shouldn't be told to "fuck off" simply because they prefer reading about Touya/Yukito instead of Syaoran/Sakura. Considering that both Touya and Yukito are almost adults while Syaoran and Sakura are children, I definitely know what's more acceptable by my standards (no offense to anyone but thinking about Syaoran and Sakura having sex is DO NOT WANT for me).

And I don't get the big beat down on yaoi fans.

I mean, I don't like hentai. The stuff I've read, I've found degrading to women. But you don't see me going around blasting hentai fans simply because I don't like it.

I don't like hentai, why should I fucking care if someone does like it?

And it's the same way for them. Why should they fucking care if people like yaoi?

Don't really care about porn (to be honest, won't read it for CCS at all) but the idea that slash pairings aren't about love. Because well no, that's now how it works. Even more so for those canon slash pairings that do happen from time to time.

I don't mind porn but I don't like CCS porn. I only used it as an example because I know it's something most people on my flist have read and/or watched.
