Oh dear

I've found myself becoming addicted to Persona 3. I was reading some random high school manga the other day and found myself thinking 'damn, Gekkoukan High is way better than this place!'

btw, this is all the fault of [livejournal.com profile] session since I would have never played the game if it wasn't for her (thank you Mela! XD)

The concept of the game is pretty odd since it's part RPG (which involves fighting by shooting yourself in the head) and part dating sim. But it's a really great game! It's like being in an anime, especially since you can control pretty much any action of the Main Character including what school clubs he joins, who his friends are, whether he's a good student or not and who he falls in love with, so you can basically mode him into any type of character you want. During the day, you attend school, meet with friends, explore the city and participate in your clubs (I'm on the Kendo team and apart of the Student Council) and then at night you fight these monsters called Shadows.

I'm really glad you get to pick the girl who the main character falls for. Because in a typical game, he would fall for Yukari who is kinda annoying. She's a bitch to everyone except the main character and yet she's considered the most popular girl at school (how the hell did that happen?!).

Anyone with a PS2 needs to play.

OHOHOHOHOHOHOHOHOHOHOHOHO! Just as planned 8Db

Hay, you don't even have to have the Main Character fall for any girl, since I only had him like Mitsuru because she's incredibly hot, and there were about three or four other social links I could have done instead, so it's not like I was even forced to date her xD I joined the swim team, the little speedos made me lol.

Man, srsly, I hate Yukari. She really is a bitch to everyone aside from the Main Character, I think she's only popular because she's stereotypically 'cute' looking. I can't stand the girl :x (Plus that whole 'omg she's so cute and popular but is sooooo tortured and angsty because of her tragix past' BS is so overdone, and I hate it so much).

I've actually been meaning to replay it, but I start school soon, so I dunno if I should ;o;

Sweet! I was wondering if I could just ignore the dating part. The only girl I've met so far that I like is Mitsuru but I can't really see her and the Main Character in a relationship. (and I'm totally joining the swim team next time through to see the speedos, lol)

Glad I'm not the only one who doesn't like Yukari. I honestly tried liking her but I quickly discovered that unless she and the Main Character were alone together, she'd have something bitchy to say to or about one of her teammates.

Yeah, I ended up doing just the Mitsuru link, but I could have just avoided it altogether. I mean, the only reason to do the social links of any of the other characters is to get the Persona that is the ultimate form of their Arcana, but unless you don't need/want those, then it doesn't matter (and usually you can still get pretty high leveled Persona from their Arcana anyway, so it doesn't really matter in the end sometimes). Especially since I only did some, and only a relationship with Mitsuru, and at the end of the game when all the social links come into play, I was still able to finish perfectly, so whatever xP

I see so many people liking her and I don't really get it. It's true what you say, about her saying something bad or bitchy about her teammates. She does stop that eventually, but she still is pretty obnoxious. I saw my brother play part of Yukari's social link and it was annoying, I'm glad I didn't do it. Plus, she'll only start paying attention to you in that way after your charm is at a certain level :| Lol.
