Poor Sakura and Syaoran, they just can't win when it comes to TRC fans
It's like, you can't keep Sakura/Syaoran fans happy in TRC. They bitch when there's an uneven number of Syaorans and Sakuras, they bitch when there's a even number of those characters, they bitch if CLAMP gives a cute moment between Syaoran and Sakura, they bitch when we don't get cute scenes between them.
I swear some fans won't be happy unless it turns out that Syaoran and Sakura are the same ones from CCS (and in the 0.0001% chance of that happening, the rest of the fans would bitch).
First they were bitching because they didn't like the Sakura/R!Syaoran pairing since Sakura didn't know R!Syaoran. Now granted, I can see them not being completely happy there since Sakura did fall in love with the clone. But (and this is the important part) she originally fell in love with "Clow!Syaoran". And where is the heart of Clow!Syaoran? Inside R!Syaoran!
But that's not so much of an issue now since we learned that Sakura is also a clone. Great, right? There's now a Sakura for both Syaorans so everyone can be happy! Of course not. As soon as CLAMP started giving us signs that R!Syaoran is from Clow Country and that "his Sakura" which C!Sakura spoke of is the one from there, the bitching continued, arguing the fact that there's no possible way for R!Syaoran to be from there and that he just HAS TO BE from the CCS World.
Why they're doing this? I don't know. As soon as we found out which Syaoran was real and which Sakura was real it should have been obvious what the pairing would end up as. It's Sakura and Syaoran! CLAMP isn't going to break them up! They're CLAMP's happy OTP! They're not going to end up like CLAMP's angsty OTP and have Sakura kill Syaoran and spend the rest of her days in misery(until she finally starts to enjoy life again only to be hit by a bus).
Even if C!Syaoran grew a heart for himself he's not going to magically become like Clow!Syaoran again. Think of it this way, if you take a seed from a plant and re-plant it, it would not grow up to be a complete copy of the original plant. It's the same way with C!Syaoran. The closest we're going to get to "Clow!Syaoran" again is with R!Syaoran.

I don't think the R1!versions are from CCS at all, but I'm wondering about CCS!Syaoran's "business" that he had to take care of in Hong Kong before he could come back to stay with Sakura. I'm wondering if it has anything to do with anything in TRC. Because it would be nice for him to have had an actual reason to go back, instead of just doing it as a plot device to make an even cuter ending xD;

Thank God! It's so simple and yet people can't get it. Or better they don't want to get it. Actually Clone's heart before becoming a cool "villain" was always belonging to RSyaoran. That's undeniable fact, he put it on him {chibi versions} and that's why the speech in Vol.16 "I hope you had developed a heart of your own blah blah blah...
But, there always gonna be bitching one way or the other. It's just that the bitching is justified when there is a slight proof or evidence. In that case, in my POV, there is not.
