Summer movie season is here!
Iron Man is an awesome movie!
I'm glad it's finally out. Iron Man has been a movie I've been waiting for ever since Hollywood jumped aboard the comic book movie buzz. When I heard that Robert Downey Jr. was casted in the lead role, I only got even more excited since talk about getting the right man for the job!
I always loved Iron Man as a superhero since he's not a boyscout like so many other superheros. Boyscouts bore me. They're too goody-goody. I know they're superheros but is it really necessary to be so perfect?
Back to the movie, I thought they really did a good job getting across the whole Iron Man story. Obviously things were changed (like all comic book movies) but it's not done stupidly like say the Catwoman movie. I also found the entire cast was really good, as well as the action.
I was hoping to avoid talking about any spoilers but I will say this say until the end of the credits! Seriously this is the best 'after-the-credits' scene I've ever seen!
AHDFKJSLKJ! NICK FURY!!! AND HE MENTIONED THE AVENGERS!!!! *fangirlism*
I'd KILL for an Avengers movie! That's the comic book I most wanted made into a movie for years but thought it would never happened since some of the characters were already acquired by different movie companies. But now I have hope again since in addition to the Nick Fury scene in Iron Man, I hear that Tony Stark has a cameo in the new Hulk movie.
Oh and did I mention that Nick Fury is played by Samuel L. Jackson? That's even a better fit than Robert Downey Jr. as Iron Man! I heard a while ago that he was casted as Nick Fury and I was pretty sure it was suppose to be for Iron Man but then I heard nothing about it with the recent promotions for the movie so I figured I had just imagined it!

I did a little squee in the theatre.

I almost decided to sit through the credits, thinking there might be more, but my little brother started to leave so I just left with him. I would totally have squeed for the rest of the evening if I'd seen it.
