I don't get fandom

Is it really that big of a deal if a character we thought was male turned out to be female? If it's true (there's no proof), it's not like the character's personality would suddenly change.

btw, for those curious, the fandom freak-out was due to this page (Spoiler's Alert) from chapter 19 of Kuroshitsuji. It's gotten some fans to start thinking that a hawt male is a hawt female.

I didn't see that as any indication that he is a she. And it is entirely possible that just as with the name, he can become whoever the young master wishes for him to become.

Besides, I'm still confused as to whether Grell's supposed to be male or female. Or both and neither. I suppose it doesn't matter...

Grell is definitely a guy. He says at one point that he wanted to have kids but couldn't because he was male.

As for Sebastian I think fans are freaking out for nothing.
