I'm all caught up on D.Gray-man...
And I have absolutely no clue what's going on anymore.
It's not due to the fact that I've forgotten what happened in the earlier 180+ chapters, I just think that the story has taken a weird turn from the way it started out. It was such a simple story in the beginning with Exorcists running around trying to kill demons with their special weapons called Innocence. But now there are these new Exorcists with weird powers and new Noahs with special powers as well.
I'm wondering if Hoshino is trying to rush through to the ending due to all the illnesses she's had over the past few years. Because it's on a hiatus again, Chapter 191 was just released and now there's no new chapter until April. That's a long break for a monthly series and makes three(?) breaks within the last two years.
Don't get me wrong, I still like the series, but I think it was better before.

The things that I miss. I loved the beginning of D.Gray-man, but I burned out on it at around the time they first entered the Ark to fight with the Noah. It just seemed like the things I liked about the series, and the characters I liked, were changing too much, and I couldn't keep interested in it.

I once burned out during that part too. That's when I first noticed a change in the series and lost interest for a while.

For the most part I understand what's going on, but I think it'll make more sense when we get past this flashback and this particular arc gets going. There were always supposed to be that many Noah though, hence why the 14th is...the 14th.

I think the current flashback is what's bugging me the most. I was just getting use to the new Noah (the one who put Allen and Road into the flashback) and everything else when suddenly the flashback started so now they're not around.
Kanda's my favourite character, but I want things to get back to the present. I often don't like it when seeing my favourite character's past because it's usually full of angst and don't want to see my favourite going through that. It was the same way with Kurogane and Fay, I didn't care for those flashbacks but liked the ones involving Syaoran and Sakura.
