Oh, Maverick, you are so lame. Complicating things is going to be your downfall and I'm going to enjoy every bit of it.

Part of the reason why his plan is a bad one is he didn't change everyone's memories of Kotetsu. He thinks he did (at the very least he thinks he's gotten everyone who could help Kotetsu) but he doesn't know that a certain someone is also aware Kotetsu and Wild Tiger are the same person. And if this person is as smart as he's made out to be, he's going to realize that Kotetsu would never kill anyone. And he has no love for Hero TV/Maverick so he has motivation to help Kotetsu.

Yes, that means I've officially hopped aboard the Tiger & Lunatic train and I'm riding it straight into next week. It seems like it's going to be a given, especially since a few days ago there was an interview with one of the creators of the show and he said that two unlikely characters will soon be teaming up. At this point I can't see it being anyone but Tiger and Lunatic.

The other reason why Maverick's plan is stupid and is bound to fail is because he can't erase memories, he can only change them. A trigger is all that is needed for the fake memories to fall apart. I think we're going to see that, unlike Barnaby, it'll be easier for the others to regain their memories.

That brings me to this:

This is the original spoiler pic for Ep 22 that was posted on the T&B website before Sunrise removed it. Notice how they have Kotetsu surrounded and five of them are ready to fight.

Then there is Blue Rose. Not only is she standing a bit further back than the others but she's holding her gun by her side (instead of pointing it at Kotetsu) and is clutching her heart with her other hand. The only reason why she would be standing like that is if she remembers (at least partly remembers).

That means the fake memories will not be lasting long with Karina. Even before I saw the picture, I figured she would be the first to remember because of her crush.

And I think the others will soon realize about the fake memories as well since most of them have a connection with Kotetsu. Antonio has known him since high school, Ivan was going to quit being a Hero until Kotetsu convinced him otherwise, he helped Pao-Lin reconnect with her parents, Fire Emblem I have no clue but Nathan benefits from being the smartest out of all the Heroes. That just leaves poor Keith. As hilarious it would be for the series to end with Keith not knowing who Kotetsu is and everyone being confused to why Sky High still wants to capture Tiger, I think it's going to be something simple and stupid that jogs his memory (like that script Tiger wrote for Bunny's birthday).

As much as I would like it to be Barnaby who remembers first, I think he's going to be the last even though he was the closest to Kotetsu and he should have things in his apartment to remind him. It's because, unlike the others, he's gone through 21 years of Maverick fucking with his mind. We don't know how often Maverick messed with Barnaby's memories. It's going to be tough for Barnaby to sort everything out, plus he's emotionally involved since Samantha was the last person who really cared about him. ~~All the more reason why the series needs to end with Kotetsu's family adopting Barnaby!~~

I don't know where I saw it (either LJ or This Is Sternbild) but a person pointed out that back in the episode where the oxygen chamber was introduced, Barnaby was acting very docile in that scene after being missing and only Maverick was able to contact him. At the time we assumed Barnaby was being polite because Maverick was there. But now it seems the more lightly that Barnaby had his memories tampered with then, especially since immediately after that was when he started having visions of Jake being his parents killer. It would not surprise me at all to learn he's changed Barnaby's memories over the years since he seems to enjoy using his power to toy with people.

Plus there's all the angsty drama of Barnaby and Kotetsu being enemies. And there's the fact that things would be resolved too quickly when they team back up together. A Tiger/Lunatic or a Tiger/Lunatic/Blue Rose team would be awesomely powerful but they wouldn't have the connection that Tiger and Bunny have. Tiger and Bunny being together is the only way that Maverick is going to be defeated.

As for next week, I'm not sure what will happen. I really do hope that Lunatic saves Tiger from the other Heroes at some point. I think Maverick is excepting/hoping that Lunatic will take out Kotetsu for him so watching the opposite would be awesome since it's always fun when Maverick's plans fall apart.
