Tiger and Bunny
It's hard to believe that there's only one episode left. I got into the series during the Kriem and Jake eps, which seem like such a long time ago now.
I'm firmly in the 'Kotetsu Is Not Dead' camp.
There's a variety of reasons why I don't think he's dead.
One, is I can't see SoftBank and S.H. Figuarts being happy that the Hero they sponsor has died. The sponsors are an important reason why the show was able to be made in the first place.
Two, is because there have been spoilers from magazines that indicate that Kotetsu lives.
Three, the series is about Kotetsu and Barnaby working together to defeat their enemies and Maverick is still alive. Defeating Jake required them working together, same with robo!Tiger and even that diamond NEXT thief from an early ep (the one where Good Luck Mode was introduced).
Four, the life signs on Kotetsu suit were probably destroyed when the suit itself was destroyed which is why nothing is showing up on Saito's computer.
Five, it's Sunrise and they have a habit of making the viewer think that someone has died when that's not the case.
And I imagine there's other reasons but I'm getting rather tired. I do however think that Kotetsu is on the brink of death and it would not surprise me at all if he has a mini-meeting with Tomoe in the next episode (who after a sweet moment together tells him he needs to go back).
I also think that this is the reason why Season 2 hasn't been officially announced yet. They can't do Season 2 without Kotetsu so if they went ahead and announced it there would be no suspense right now, waiting for the last episode. I definitely do think there will be a Season 2 though. There's still too much of the story to tell. Stuff with Legend and Lunatic, that criminal organization that Maverick is apart of and if or if not Ouroboros really exists.
As for the episode itself...
Kaede was awesome once again. It was predictable she would escape on her own, but who cares?
Karina was also awesome. I loved how she had complete faith that Tiger and Barnaby would win and that it was her strength that made the other Heroes not want to give up.
The creators continue with the theme of toying with the shippers in this episode. It's been happeningall season for a while now. I love the fact that Barnaby was learning how to cook fried rice for Kotetsu. And of course there was Kotetsu's comment about Barnaby having pretty eyelashes. I'm also glad that Barnaby now knows the truth about Kotetsu's power decline.
I think I might actually shed a few tears of happiness next week when Kotetsu wakes up and Barnaby realizes that he's not dead.
