Just started the next volume of Rurouni Kenshin and Kaoru is still there whiny more than normal. >_<

I don't suppose she dies or something that I can look forward too.

Yeah, I hate when the female charries make a series suck. That's one thing I like about Bleach - though there is one girl who annoys me b/c she's an airhead - the main girl, Rukia, is awesome.

I know and it seems to happen a lot where you'll find a good series only to have an annoying female character pop up. It really brings down the entire series.

Yeah, Kaoru makes my teeth hurt. I like it much better when she's assertive. Definitely out of the RK cast, Misao's my favorite female character.

Kaoru has the potential to be a good character but she's so damn whiny. Like at the beginning of the Kyoto arc, she pretty much gives up on living because Kenshin left.

Nope! I like Megumi too. She did bug me during her kidnapping though, when Kenshin and the others rescued her, she's all "Thanks for almost dying to save me but now I'm going to kill myself". But after that she started growing on me.
