You know with all the manga I've been reading lately I've forgotten how much I love anime. Normally I don't watch an anime if I've already read the manga version as I end up too disappointed by the anime version no matter how good it is, so at times I get limited on the anime I can watch but once and awhile I come across a series that is anime only and 'Meine Liebe' just happens to be one of those anime only series. ^__^

Soooooo many hot guys in this, it's hard to choose a favourite (although if I was forced to choose I'd say Ludwig the guy with long purple hair). It has this European fantasy setting (yay! history!) and takes place at this Academy where 5 of the main characters attend school so you have a really good set up for fanfiction (bunnies have already started running).

I also love the voice acting in this...why?...*grins*...Aya's VA is there, as is Ken's, Cloud's VA from FFVII:AC (also Yuuri/the Maou from KKM) and Knight from Gluhen (who does the Ludwig character whom I mentioned earlier)! I think I'm most excited about Knight since he turned me into a puddle of goo whenever he showed up in Gluhen especially whenever he talked about his lost love Aya and I've never seen another anime with him in it (although while looking it up I found he does Sanzo in 'Saiyuki' so I'm probably going to break my no watching the anime after reading the manga rule) and it's pointless for me to get the 'Crashers' CD Drama since I wouldn't understand anything.

Oh yeah, sorry about the chat. Family drama got in the way (why they insisted on fighting at 1:30am I'd never know) and I accidently closed it before going off to play the cop. So if anyone picked 8 Rekalls you win. ^^;;

Ah, another VA 'stalker'! Although when you say VAs do you mean the original Japanese or the English Dub VAs? But I know what you mean, I'm seriously tempted to pick up 'This Ugly Yet Beautiful World', simply because the main male character's dub VA is OMG Braden! and I've never come across an anime other than the first Saiyuki series that uses him in a main role.

(Greg Ayres, of course, is all over the place and I've run across Illych a few times, but David and Braden are rare finds....)

Wonder if RSI carries this "mein Leibe" anime?

Still working thru my Weiss Kreuz DvDs; I've been savoring them one or two episodes at a time -- say, what up with Aya and this Botan guy?

Japanese. I'm too poor to buy anime so I download it so I only watch subbed anime. ^^;;

As for Aya and Botan well...Botan loves him of course! hehe, kidding. At least I think I'm kidding but maybe not as I've noticed other characters being in love with Aya. If you ever get around to watching the sequel 'Weiss Kreuz Gluhen' you'll find Knight in a few later eps and you can definitely tell he's in love with Aya.

Yay I'm so glad you liked it! The sequel's complete too, Meine Liebe Weder, so you should look for it too. Like I said, soo many hot guys and you can really pair them up any way you want. I still haven't decided who my favorite is, leaning toward Naoji... though Orphe and Lui are super hot too...

Oh, I know. He's the gayest of them all, too - though that episode where Naoji and Orphe jump off a balcony to escape their fangirls is more than enough fodder for my imagination... hehehe...

I can't decide which pairings I like best, either... Camus pretty much goes with everybody; Lui/Orphe is good because rivalshipping is sexy, but Orphe/Ed and Lui/Naoji works too, because they're so close. And of course the balcony episode makes Orphe/Naoji look pretty good too. *shrugs* I have yet to find any fanfiction for the series anyway, though, so I guess it's just wishful thinking. lol

Right now I'm leaning towards Orphe/Ed and Lui/Naoji since those characters are so close. But you're rihgt Lui/Orphe is hot (I really like rivalshipping) and although I've only seen a few eps I can already see Orphe/Naoji.

No fanfiction? *gasps in horror* That's not right! I'm so writing something as soon as I get through the series.

Oh I know, I'm so tempted to write fics for it myself... but there's not even a section for it on ffnet so obviously there's not much of a fanbase. :( I'll look around - and tell me if you see anything - and see if I can't find some fansites for it or something.

Boo...

I did find one LJ community for it that has a few fanfics but there isn't one for fanfics only. FF.net has about a dozen in the Misc. Anime section but the odd one I looked at didn't seem to be good/interesting.
