Scary Evening Indeed

I was playing Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic when the game crashed and I had to press the reset button on my computer (which isn't too uncommon with the game as crashes a lot). Computer resets and that's where the problem begins, it keeps resetting and resetting and resetting all on it's own.

I *think* the problem was last night when I was using IE to access the PP chat (stupid MSN only allowing IE to use the chat) some program called "WindowsAntiVirus2006" or something like that, automatically started to download and install. I *thought* I had caught it and cancelled it before it had completely downloaded but I guess not.

Anywho my computer finally stayed on long enough so I could shut it down properly and then when it started up again it stayed on long enough to uninstall that program. Since then everything has been working like normal but I'm currently waiting for Norton to finish it's check.

Not sure if that program was the problem or not but man I was getting worried for a while there as it was too late to call the store and since they now do housecalls for busted computers I wasn't sure if someone would come out tomorrow since it's Sunday or if I was allowed to just drop it off at the store like before (I don't even know if they're open on Sundays).

Hmm...I never had a problem with Norton and it was what was recommened to me by the computer store when I bought it but maybe I should check out McAfee instead. Thanks for the tip!
