Manga Ramblings
I bought the first 3 volumes of Tokyo Babylon today. I got tired of trying to read my crappy scanslations of it. They had all 7 volumes at the store but I simply couldn't afford them all today.
I must admit though that buying English manga scares me. I'm so use to Viz and they suck with their releases. I jumped for joy though when I opend up Tokyo Babylon and saw that TokyoPop had kept in the honorifics. CLAMP uses them a lot and they're important (like in that one world in TRC, the entire reason how Syaoran knew that the kidnaped Sakura was a fake was because she called him 'Syaoran' instead of 'Syaoran-kun'). It always bugs me when other companies like Viz cuts out the honorifics because seriously all they have to do is put a little note at the beginning of the volume, explaining what -chan, -kun, -san, -sama, -sempai, etc. It's not that hard in understanding what each ones means.
I'm buying RG Veda after I finish getting Tokyo Babylon and then Gohou Drug (or I might get Gohou Drug frist since I know all of it is already released). I'd love to buy X but don't think the English version is worth spending the money on it. Even without the honorifics I'd get it if they would simply re-release it unflipped.

They strict on anything and everything. The editor I know told me that Clamp demand them to fix the book several times when they sent prototype of manga to Clamp to approve.
Hell, after got TRC vol 6 last night, I want to start clamp_rambles comm.

Unfortunately X is the only one done by Viz, which is really a crappy company for releasing manga. Which sucks for me since X is my favourite CLAMP manga.
