TRC/CLAMP

You know it's really annoying when someone says:

I fan Kurogane/Fai, but I don't see it happening, afterall this is CLAMP.

Dude, it's happening because it's CLAMP! With any other manga-ka I would agree that KuroFay won't happen since it's not that uncommon to find flirty subtext between two characters of the same sex. CLAMP's the one who always takes those subtext moments and makes it canon.

Or maybe I just imagined pairings like Seishirou/Subaru, Fuuma/Kamui, Kendappa/Souma, Touya/Yukito, Gingetsu/Ran and Saiga/Kakei, all of which were either made canon in the story itself or confirmed by CLAMP in interviews.

My thoughts exactly, they obviously don't know anything about CLAMP. Hell, even CCS has a canon gay couple. This fandom makes me want to bang my head sometimes. -_-'

I totally posted my rant about CLAMP misconceptions because, well, need to inform the uninformed. One of these day I will seriously end up verbally smacking some of these twits over at CW and will probably get banned because of it, which will suck because srsly, even though the forums suck because all the cool people left, we cannot allow that type of comments to go unaddressed! The fantwits need to be told just how incredibly foolish and delusional they are in a polite manner.

I'm glad you posted that rant although I don't think it will make a difference since I get the feeling those types of "fans" won't believe KuroFay is canon unless CLAMP shows them making out or something (which makes no sense since rarely do they have their het couples do that).

That has got be one of my bigger fandom pet peeves. Why do people think that CLAMP never delivers on pairings? Just because they don't generally end up making out? I just do not understand it.

That's what I don't get. CLAMP makes their pairings 'canon' most of the time. Just because they don't kiss or say "I love you" doesn't mean they're not together.

If they're familiar with CLAMP, a fan should know the proper signs for a CLAMP couple. Maybe these people just can't adapt and go on thinking on terms of other series, so they believe that CLAMP doesn't normally make pairings canon. (There would still be a number of canon pairs under those circumstances too, but anyway...)

The TRC fans are the worst since a lot of them only read CCS before and think all of CLAMP's stuff is like that. Around Volume 15 things start getting darker, angsty and more violent in TRC (making the story a lot better) and I saw so many people saying they were surprised by what happened.

It's sad that when I as a new fan know more about CLAMP and has read more of their stories than people who claim to have been fans for years.
