I've been meaning to post about this for a while but I keep on getting distracted.

Apparently I am a "CLAMP canon whore" because I think fans shouldn't go around saying pairings like Tomoyo/Touya is canon.

Er...but it's not canon. Touya loves Yukito; they were only the second most important couple in CCS. Tomoyo loves Sakura (although that didn't work out), which was also important to the story. It's not like there was heavy subtext going on between them; they were in love with different people.

"Don't call it canon" =/= "ZOMG U CANT SHIP THA PAIRIN EVR!!!!!!111"

------

Also I am apparently "Heterophobe" since I like yaoi pairings. Yes, it's true a homophobe told me so (therefore it must be true!), liking yaoi now means you hate het people, so sorry flist that also means you guys are heterophobe (yes even those of you who are happily married).

Lets ignore the fact that most yaoi fans are straight.

That is the most fun point in your rant XD

This sounds an awful like something that been discussed ad nauseum over on one of the BBM groups, almost to the point where I wonder if I'm the only heterosexual female in the fandom who not only isn't in touch with my inner lesbian, but has no interest in doing so!

Can I help it that I like having sex/making love with my husband?

*Cries in a lonely heterosexual corner*

BTW - Happy belated Birthday!

Ugh. I hear that crap all the time.

My wanky two cents: I hate Tomoyo/Touya because the only time I ever see it is when (a) some homophobe is trying to hook them up so they're not omg ghey!!11 (b) turning Tomoyo into a self-insert to have sex with Touya (c) all of the above.

If I ever get labeled a heterophobic yaoi fan just because I like a same-sex couple, I'll have to hit somebody over the head with a mallet. I'm not a yaoi fan, I just don't discriminate on my pairings based on their sexuality.

Touya/Tomoyo...ugh. Shipping crack as crack is one thing, but seriously shipping them hurts my brain.

D: But I can't be a heterophobe! I have straight friends!

I fail to understand what is wrong with stating that what is canon is canon and what is not canon...is not canon. I guess it hurts people's tender feelings or something.

Hey, I'm a lesbian so it means I chase after EVERYONE I meet.

*coughs* But anyways.. sorry just stumbled upon your LJ.. am Hyu from over at the forums.. and yeah, I know.. there are so many people that call their canon on other fandoms and I don't bother them.. people who LIKE the straight and rally against it, I like CLAMP because when I ship a male/male pairing in Clamp.. OMG I AM ACTUALLY RIGHT!

I know you! ^__^

I like how CLAMP follows through with their subtext. Like take KuroFay a lot of manga-kas would have kept things light and flirty between them where CLAMP actually makes them canon.

Another thing I like about CLAMP is there's a pairing for everyone. Like Het? Great, here's Syaoran/Sakura. Yaoi? Fuuma/Kamui. Yuri? Kendappa/Souma. Incest? Seishirou/Setsuka. Genderless? Yasha/Ashura. Pedophilia? Terada/Rika. There's so many and different types of pairings to choose from.

And I love most of the het pairings in Clamp.. I mean the canon ones.. you can't really argue with Clamp I think.. but there are some greedy souls that would like it to be ALL ABOUT THE HET. (not realizing that CLAMP doesn't work that way)
