Games

I finally beat KHI tonight. It took me longer than KHII because 1) it's not as fun and 2) I've been playing other stuff where with KHII, I was solely concentrated on it.

I must say though, the final battles in KHI on Normal mode is a lot easier than the final battles in KHII on Easy. In KHII I'm still kind of bitter at that silver dragon thing that threw buildings at you. The tip given is to get close to the buildins and press triangle so I'd do that and then get hit by said building. Only once did the stupid thing work properly.

Moving on to WoW...

Damn it's a fun game. I'm liking it way better than FFXI, which I haven't even logged onto since the beginning of last summer.

I'm playing as an Undead Female Warlock; I have this little Imp called Chotuk that helps me out and later on I'll be getting cooler demons. I wanted to be a male Blood Elf (since I think they're gay) Hunter, but we only get the first game with the demo. I get the feeling we're going to be getting the full game once the trial runs out.

Sorry Miko, the brother and I are sharing an account and he make his character first, picking a different realm than Lightbringer and I kinda accidentally ended up on the same one when I made my character. :(

I *think* I can create a new character on another realm without spending money (which is good since I didn't really want to be on a PvP realm) but need to look more into it first.

Aww man. I want to play WOW. I won't do it though because I know I'd way too obsessed with it!

Nah it's not addicting. That one time yesterday when I only thought I had been playing for a few minutes when it was really 3 hrs? Totally unrelated. *nods*

Yes, there's restrictions on the free trial account, so that's why you couldn't roll a Blood Elf (incidentally, the males are supposed to be the "pretty boys" of the game... but I think they fell short. I rolled one in my excitement at getting to play an attractive male character, and he was so irritating in his movement and sounds that I deleted him).

Dunno about restrictions on servers while on trial. But it doesn't really matter if you end up getting a full account. You can have multiple characters on multiple servers, i.e. I have 10 on Lightbringer and 1 on Cenarius and 1 on some other server - just before you make a character, you have to choose the realm you want that character to be created on. Course, if (assuming you buy it) you want to talk to me, you'll need to roll a character on Alliance side as well since all my characters are Alliance and not Horde.

I would stay out of PvP realms unless you really love PvP... nothing says that you MUST PvP on a PvP realm, but people will gank you in contested areas, i.e. my hubby had a undead priest in a PvP realm, and when he landed after arriving at a flight destination, 3 night elf hunters hiding on rooftops shot him and killed him before he even took a step.

Interesting you chose a warlock, with interest in a hunter. I chose hunter, and was thinking warlock. Warlocks are solo machines... they can probably kill more monsters at once than any other class (mages would be close in that regard) and kill higher level monsters than any other class (with the exception of very talented hunters). But they're also the most unpopular class because 1) everyone wants you to summon / soulstone / healthstone them 2) you're an aggro monkey, so in a raid situation, you're usually one of the first to die 3) raiding guilds usually only want 2 or 3 in a 40 man raid. At the same time, classes like hunter and rogue are so popular that there's just too many of them, so their gear costs more, they sit out of more raids, etc. So if soloing is your thing, warlock is a good choice.

Good, when I get the full version I'll make sure to make a Alliance character on Lightbringer.

That's sad to learn that the gay elves don't live up to expectations. Gay pretty boys are suppose to make everything better, not to disappoint.

I'm glad I picked Warlock then because I want to solo for the time being until I'm more familiar with the game.

Honestly,
I'm too afraid too do WoW because it reminds me too much of AD&D and I was an AD&D whore for many years. (i.e. I would hire a babysitter for my son for our all day (10 to 12 hour) dungeons at $50.00 to $60.00 a pop. Every Saturday.)

It's very addicting. Until I started playing I didn't understand how people could be addicted to it even though I played FFXI. Now I know.

BUT you're son doesn't need a babysitter anymore! ^_________^ (and now I start the quest of getting everyone I know to join in)
