FOR THE HORDE!

I'm starting to think someone kicked the Alliance puppy on Sat because both yesterday and today there have been a lot of high level Alliance members camping Horde players (and it wasn't like this before). I'm talking about things like lv 60+ Alliance people (usually at least in a pair but sometimes solo) targeting Horde characters in the lv 20 range.

So what do we do? Gather a huge group of levels 35-50 and raid a town of theirs. Hehe. I saw the group heading that way and tagged along even though I was only at lv 28. I got killed but I lasted for most of it. ^___^

Then I head over to the other continent to do some more quests. Being lazy I hitched a ride on a "Winged Beast" and what happens as soon as I land? BAM! Dead because a pair of ?? players (I found out later one was lv 63 and the other was also around lv 60) decided to raid the town and kill a bunch of players with lv 20 characters. We could do nothing against them until a lv 70 came to our rescue.

Man, the raiding we did was agianst a village that was around the same level as most of the people in the group (who were a lot higher than me because I got lv ?? for a lot of people we were attacking); we certainly didn't go after people who were 40 levels lower than us.

Welcome to PvP realms. I told you, didn't I? : ) Wait 'til you start trying to do STV quests... the popular thing is for 60+ rogues to camp the road and backstab lowbies as they run by.

Oh, on a PvP note... this was pretty funny. Hubby's mage was engaged in some world PvP in Outland, and there was a hordie on his flying mount. Hubby got on his flying mount, parked himself on top of a building, and began throwing fireballs and stuff. The guy took about 50% damage and then took off, up into the sky. Hubby got back on his flying mount and got above the guy, dismissed his mount, and got off one shot before plummeting to the valley far below. He hit slow fall and survived, no prob. The horde guy took off so fast hahahaha.

Haha, you were right. Before it was just the odd person doing that kind of stuff, now it's most of them. :p

Dare I ask what STV means?

Mr. Miko's move sounds awesome. I'm in awe of good players like that. If it was me I'd forget to hit slow fall and end up going splat.

STV = Stranglethorn Vale. Zone with a ton of quests for levels 32 to high 40s. On my server, always crowded and popular for leveling. On most PvP servers though, it's like PvP land and bored high level people will sit by the roads (the only safe way to travel through there when you're low) and gank lowbies running by.

If you're in Ratchet (Barrens) and get on the boat, it'll take you to Booty Bay, which is the city on the south tip of STV.

I recently had to go to Booty Bay on a quest and when I got there I saw a lv ?? Alliance wanting on the boat to go to Ratchet. I panicked figuring he would attack and accidentally fell in the water. *facepalm*

I heard my server is one of the few where the Horde outnumber the Alliance so my fingers are crossed that I won't have too much trouble when I have to explore that area more.
