Bye bye bye

Spyware killed my Firefox. Everytime I used it, I'd get these annoying IE popups that would then crash Windows. I lost all my bookmarks three times and then couldn't even add new ones.

A few days ago I downloaded Opera and no problems. No more IE popups, no more Windows crashing, etc. Now I'm sad since it really does seem that the problem was with Firefox so I can no longer use it.

Opera seems good but it doesn't have Adblock (which I can live without) nor a spell checker. Without a spell checker I feel like an addict now who has just gone of drugs cold turkey (I find the LJ spell checker useless and of course instead of fixing it they give us crap we don't need because seriously I love you guys, but I could care least to get an email everytime you upload a new icon to your account).

I feel like Subaru right now.

Yup, tried to get rid of it. I'm not giving up yet though. I'm going to leave Firefox off my computer for a bit and after about a thousand scans try again.

Spyware: It's like Nilie, you get rid of it, think it's gone for good and just when you think everything is okay, it comes back and bites you on the ass.

Any anti-virus and anti-spyware can't help me from those caoming with ff.net ;_;

Tips: search for bwishsite.exe (or bewishsite don't sure of spelling) I had to close process after process to see which one cause my PC down as well. And that one is the one I found out. Stupid ff.net + spywares -_-'

Yeeee. I wonder if something is funky with your registry? You might wanna look up a registry cleaning software and try that out and see if it helps.

... I saw Nilie's post. I think what I don't like the most about her is she seems to think her favorite characters should be like... untouchable or something. (coughfaicough)

Google tool bar does a fairly good job with blocking popups, as far as spyware goes, I use Ad~aware (free version) and it works wonders. I downloaded it and ran it and was amazed when like 300+ different spyware programs was caught and containted. There is also a program called SpywareBlaster that's also free and it sets up a 'firewall' that keeps those types of programs out of your computer. When I use both of them and update them at least once a week, I'm problem free. SpywareBlaster also has a seperate thing for Firefox and IE. You might want to look into those. I'll try myself to look the links up sometime soon for you if you don't find them.

*snuggles Dragon*

I downloaded the latest version of Ad-ware sometime last week (before I had been using an older version of the program) and it caught a lot of stuff but not what was causing the big problem. I'm going to also look into SpywareBlaster. ^___^
