I'm back!!
Jun. 2nd, 2006 04:32 pmUnfortunately the trip was cut short due to car issues (there's a leak in something) but we still ended up having a blast!
The best part of the trip was definitely yesterday when we went on this whirl pool jet boat that takes you over rapids. It was the most amazing thing I've ever done in my life! It was so cool! The rapids are rated by numbers and we were up to Class 5, which is the highest you can legally go since Class 6 and above is too dangerous. 10 foot tall waves were smacking at us and seriously you have to hold your breath when the waves hit you in the face as you're completely covered for so long and after each run through the rapids the boat would be filled with water up to your knees (fortunately it quickly drains out).
If you want to see what pictures of the boat looks like(couldn't take my own pictures) you can go here: http://www.whirlpooljet.com/07_video/index.cfm (scroll down to the bottom of the page). We were on the edge in the 2nd row, which only the very 1st row beats for wettest. They deck you out in this yellow jumpsuit, yellow rain jacket, these boot things, and a lifejacket and you still end up soaking wet (seriously the outfit does nothing, I think one small spot on my shirt remained dry, lol).
( Onward to my own pictures from the trip! )
