I saw the musical Jersey Boys tonight in Toronto, which tells the story of the 60s group the Four Seasons. It was amazing and I recommend anyone go see it if they get the chance.

I must admit I was having a mini panic attack before going. Theatre is outside of my normal comfort zone and before tonight the one and only time I had gone to a play was in High School as a part of a field trip. But it's different going to a matinee with your class and doing things the ADULT way. Plus I'm never that crazy about going to Toronto, since there's always so many people around. Fortunately the place was in the less busy (but still crazy) north end of the city instead of downtown and it was fairly easy to get to from the highway.

But yes, it was an awesome musical. The cast they had did a really great job (yay! no understudies!) and it was a really enjoyable night.

One Piece

So for the third time I decided to take an attempt to read 'One Piece' (mainly because I figure since so many people like it, it has to be good... right?). I'm not finished yet since it has five billion 500+ chapters, but I've read roughly 250 chapters so far so I figured I'd give my opinion of the first half of the series.

First, I want to say that One Piece is a weird manga for me since normally with manga/anime I'd either love it or hate it. With OP though there's nothing completely horrible about it that would make me want to quit it (the first two times I just didn't feel like reading it) but it's definitely not ZOMG I CAN'T PUT THIS DOWN SINCE IT'S SO AWESOME!!!

The Good and the Bad )

Despite the faults I have with the series, I'm still going to continue reading it. It's not a bad series but I'm still not sure why some people consider it the best manga ever.
