Is it Christmas?
May. 24th, 2007 12:57 amToday was a good day for me. Rarely do I keep up do date on animes and mangas because it's so much of a chore trying to remember them each week/month/whenever. Plus I really like building up a lot of episodes/chapters and then watching/reading everything at once.
But there are some series that even I like to get on a weekjly basis and a lot of stuff ended up getting released today. ^__^
Darker than Black - Ahh... my current favourite anime. Episode 7 subbed came out today. I must say it was an interesting ep simply because Hei wasn't the main focus of it. Normally the main character is going to be the focus of all episodes so this was a little weird. I still liked it though since PI was funny and I found it hilarious that the anime his assistant wanted to watch was a Boy's Love one, lol. One thing that drives me crazy though is how there's no stand-alone eps yet in this series, it's always been in two parts, so you always have to wait until next week to find out what happens.
Romeo x Juliet - Episode 7 subbed of it also came out today (and RAW ep 8 but I didn't watch that). Tybalt is so bad-ass in this series, I love it. I was never much of a Tybalt fan until now, I always preferred Benvolio and Mercutio. I felt so bad for Hermione though in this episode, she was so looking forward to watching the fireworks with Romeo and he stood her up; I don't even like Hermione since she seems really weak but man I thought it was sad.
xxxHolic - Okay, I'll admit it, I was disappointed with Holic this week since it was really just re-capping what happened for non-TRC fans. Don't get me wrong, I love TRC but I don't want it to completely take over Holic (which I think is the better series). I really hope that with the next chapter things get back to what was happening with Kohane or another arc that doesn't deal with Sakura.
Tsubasa: RC - I really don't have much to say about TRC that hasn't already been said by the rest of the fandom. Finally the Celes arc is starting, which is what I've been waiting for since Piffle as that was the real low point of the series for me. Infinity wasn't that bad of a world though and Eagle and his gay boys were nice (and it was a good break after that kick-ass Acid Tokyo arc which pwned all other arcs) but they don't compare to Ashura-ou. My fingers are still crossed that we'll see more RG Veda characters with this upcoming arc.
