A miracle has occurred!
I'm all caught up on Naruto!
Honestly, I think I'm the most shocked one of all. I never really hated Naruto, I just became so burned out after reading 33/34 volumes in two days and needed a break. Unfortunately that break kept on getting longer and longer and eventually I forgot what chapter I was on. At that point, yeah I could just re-read it but I really didn't want to do that.
Then last December, I finally decided to re-read Bleach since the same thing had happened with that series, which got me thinking that maybe I should do that with Naruto since it's only 10 volumes longer. It was also around that time when some RL friends started watching the Naruto anime. Through them I began watching the dub each week, which has been going on for the past 5 months. During this period I put off reading the manga since there was other things I wanted to read and I was content with the anime.
Then last week, the episode that ends the Naruto/Sasuke fight aired. Because of the manga I knew that it was getting to the end of Part I of the series. And because of my brief week in the fandom I knew that there was a long stretch of filler between "now" and the time skip. Not wanting to be stuck with fillers for the next year, I decided it was finally time and started re-reading the series from the time skip.
I swear I wanted to kick myself when I saw how completely awesome the series has been lately! I lost could the number of days in a row I was up to 5:30am reading it (it was rather quite sad).
